muvee to Join Industry Leaders as Panelist at World Effie Festival

CEO Terence Swee Tapped to Discuss "How to Own An Idea"

Singapore – February 28, 2008 – muvee, the pioneer and leader in instant home movies, announced today that CEO Terence Swee has been selected to speak at the inaugural World Effie Festival. Swee will join fellow industry leaders as part of a panel titled, “How Do You Own An Idea?”. The event, which features a distinguished cast of speakers from some of the world’s most powerful brands such as CNN, Yahoo!, MTV and Newsweek, will take place February 28-29, 2008 at the Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Center in Singapore. The panel will take place on Friday, February 29 at 9 a.m. local time in MR 208/209.

“Participating in this inaugural event alongside these industry giants speaks to the strength of the muvee products and brand,” said Swee. “As the inventors of automatic video editing, muvee has had the chance to define our space and change the way many consumers share life’s magical moments that they’ve captured. In the short span of six years, we have moved the needle away from consumer manual home movie solutions toward something faster, easier and more useable. Our products produce far more professional looking videos that are also emotionally engaging and a delight to share. I look forward to sharing the lessons I’ve learned along the way with my fellow marketers and industry leaders.”

muvee began in 2001 as an idea between entrepreneurs and academics that shared expertise in digital music, video and software design. They wanted to create a software solution that could automatically and intelligently create movies that sync pictures and videos to music, timed to professional looking styles that include the appropriate transitions and effects. Seven years later, the company’s automatic video editing software is distributed globally in multiple languages by the key players in the PC, camera and mobile phone space such as HP, Dell, Sony, Nikon, Olympus, Nokia and LG, as well as through its Web site at www.muvee.com. During his panel presentation, Swee will share his experiences and lessons learned during the journey of creating and growing muvee into a global brand, offering audience the “Four Ds” of owning an idea: Define, Distance, Distribute and Develop.

The World Effie Festival, dedicated to understanding, inspiring and celebrating creative effectiveness in communications, will bring together more than 2,000 professionals from across the globe to celebrate marketing excellence. The event is presented by the New York American Marketing Association and the Institute of Advertising Singapore.
